Circle of Wisdom: Establishing Yourself as a Coach
Come join other coaches for an hour of sharing accomplishments, knowledge, skills, challenges, ideas and experiences.
What do we talk about? This Circle of Wisdom is all about bringing great new and experienced coaches together into a positive environment where participants provide support for each other by sharing wisdom (the sum of your knowledge + your experiences) amongst peers. Each Circle of Wisdom session is very distinct as discussions focus on what the participants want to talk about in that moment. At times sharing can look like coaching and at other times it might be closer to mentoring. As you can imagine, an environment of coaches is by nature a very safe, supportive and caring place.
The only requirement for attending is that you come willing to contribute to the discussions. As a participant, you may ask questions, sharing what seems to be working for you and what challenges might be preventing you from moving into your current vision of a fulfilling coaching practice. We practice the law of attraction by all contributing. Think about it, if everyone is giving, they must also be receiving.
Individually we are the sum of what we know and what we have experienced but together we are each others steps to become stronger and wiser.

Answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Here are some answers to Frequently Asked Questions about this Circle of Wisdom:
Q: Can I also invite friends?
A: You are more than welcome to invite other coaches come to join us.
Q: Do I need to pre-register?
A: It is not mandatory but preferable for several reasons. By pre-registering, you will be able to receive updates regarding the session, distribution of relevant information discussed during the call (example, sharing of a link mentioned during the call), and learn about similar future sessions. A good example of the importance of registering might be to notify you in the unlikely event that a session must be cancel or move for any reason. If you don't register before the session, you are still welcome to attend and send in your contact information afterwards if you want to be added to the list.
Q: Will the session be recorded?
A: Yes. This is another great reason for registering for the session. After the event, information will be sent out by email on how to access the recording of the session.
Q: How many people are expected to attend?
A: My goal is to have a group of 4 to 12 people. This would be an ideal size to ensure everyone has an opportunity to contribute to the discussions.
Q: How will you use my email address?
A: Your email address will only be used in relation to the "Circle of Wisdom" sessions. If you want to share your email or web site address or other contact information with others, you are welcome to do so on your own during the session. I don't have any automated system yet to manage email addresses so if you want me to remove you from my mailing list, just drop me a note.
Q: How do you make money doing this?
A: I don't. Although I do have a growing coaching business where I help coaches establish themselves, these Circle of Wisdom sessions are not a business venture. In order to ensure these sessions don't turn into nothing more than a marketing/networking opportunity, I am not going to try to sell you any products or services and ask that all participants adopt this position during the session.
Q: So WIIFM (What's In It For Me)?
A: The same thing that is in it for everyone else, an opportunity to share and find support amongst peers.
Q: Are there any prerequisites to be eligible to attend?
A: You need to come with a willingness to actively participate in the conversation. I also ask that you do your best to honour your commitment to attend the session. It would not benefit anyone if everyone just wanted to listen or nobody decided to show up.
Q: How can I get the most out of this experience?
A: Come with an open mind. Take what makes sense to you and make it your own. Forget the rest. Not everyone is ready for all information. What may seem to just be common sense to one person may not make sense to another if they are not ready for it. Consider that planting a seed of an idea or a concept is sometimes the best thing you can offer someone or the most you might be ready to accept in the moment.
Q: What if I don't find the answers I am looking for?
A: Listen to what has been said and then listen to your inner voice. I don't bring in specialists and experts to speak in during Circle of Wisdom calls. Together I believe we have something better, our collective wisdom. You are a resourceful person and taking advantage of a Circle of Wisdom is a way to be wise in the use of your personal resources. If you don't find your answers, consider that you might either not be paying attention or are just simply looking for them in the wrong place.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Suggestions are also always very much appreciated.
We all have something to contribute to the greater good and I sincerely hope you will find a way to join us.
