Ultimately there is just one thing that people really want from a life coach, and that is to help them change how they feel – how they feel about their physical body or their health, to feel emotionally stronger or find meaning in their life, to improve their relationships with friends, family or co-workers, to feel that they are managing their time better, to feel better about their work by starting a new career or taking their career to the next level, to feel financially secure, or be able to go beyond instantaneous gratification and actually feel the joy of fulfilment in their lives.
The very fact that you are here reading this is an indication that you want more out of your life, that you want to change how you feel about yourself and your life. If you could get the extraordinary life you want and deserve, just by clapping your hands or clicking your heels, would you do it? Close your eyes and picture what that life would look like. How would it affect your relationships, your work, and even how you feel about yourself? What is it that is really preventing you from having it all?
As a professional life coach, I will work with you to help you get focused and clear about what you want and figure out how to get the results you are after. We will also work together to identify and resolve any conflicts you have relating to your beliefs, values and goals which might be preventing you from achieving your best. Most importantly of all, you will be able to recognize and celebrate your results.
It is amazing how many people feel they don’t achieve their desired results in life because of one of these three reasons:
- They are not clear about who they are or what they want. This can lead to inner conflicts. For example, if you place a high value on becoming rich but down deep inside you also believe that money is the root of all evil, you may never become rich.
- They never take the first step to getting started. Woody Allen once said that 80% of success is showing up. Procrastination is often the number one reason most people don't ever get what they want in life. It is usually caused by an inner conflict which, once identified, can often be easily resolved.
- They give up just before they succeed. Think about anybody famous. What are they famous for? Their success of course. It took Edison about 1000 tries before he succeeded at inventing the light bulb. How would history have been different if he had given up after his 999th attempt?
